Image Showcase

Allow subscribers to upload photos to your App directly from their phones. Selecting the photo will add a custom overlay of your brand to their image. Branded images can be shared via Social Media tabs. Great for marketing, competitions and user-generated engagement.

The Image Showcase feature is split into two section, Photo Upload and Photo Gallery.

Photo Upload.

Subscribers can select “please select an image” to upload an image to your App. Subscribers can select either:
Select from library: Navigate through their photos gallery or library to select an image they have already taken.
Take Photo:
Will open their phone’s camera to take a photo on the spot.
Once an image has been selected or taken, subscribers will click “Upload Image” to upload the image to the Photo Gallery.

Photo Gallery.

Subscribers will see all images that have been uploaded to your App. Clicking an image will “transform” and add an overlay to the original image.

Upon purchase of a DIY AppDesigner subscription, you will need to fill in an Activation Form prior to your App being published to Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store. The Activation form will ask for a PNG file for the Overlay.

NOTE: If an overlay is not provided, DIY AppDesigner will make one for you that contains the logo used for your App.

Subscribers will have the ability to send the newely created image to their social media accounts using the buttons found on the page. This is a great way to spread brand awareness to new users.

Moderation.

An Admin Login feature is provided to all DIY AppDesigner Apps that use the Image Showcase feature. The Admin Login is locked for all users, signing into the App using the CMS credentials that are provided to you upon purchase will unlock the feature.
You will see all images that are uploaded to the gallery and have the ability to delete any image that you wish to not appear in your App.

NOTE: You can use the Content Management System to see all images uploads and download the images on to your computer.

  1. Login into your App’s Content Management System (the login details are provided to you once you have purchased a DIY AppDesigner subscription).
  2. Select the image Showcase feature in the Manage section of the CMS.
  3. Right click the image you wish to save and select “Save Image”.
